A new initiative launched by Birmingham Airport aims to keep kids entertained before they even set foot on their flight, the ADS Advance site announced earlier this month. The Sky Zone is a new interactive play area for 3-10 year olds which they can navigate and explore once they receive their ‘flight pack’ at the check-in desk, and this is joined by the Sky Zone Online for older children, a digital platform with interactive features. Unarguably there to offer a break to parents as well as children, we take a look at other ways Birmingham Airport is helping to relieve the stresses of air travel for families…
Birmingham Airport Travel Now Easier for Families
The thinking behind this new initiative was explained by Birmingham Airport’s Chief Operating Officer, “For many people, their holiday starts the moment they step into the airport. We want both adults and children to find our facilities world class and their experience here memorable and positive.”
The project was put together in conjunction with creative and entertainment production company, The Business Creative, after examining the feedback given by parents and children concerning the previous play area. Jane Maguire, the Director of The Business Creative, states, “We discovered parents wanted more energy-burning games for younger passengers in a safe and stimulating environment. With this in mind, each zone was carefully designed to ensure physical and mental skills were tested, such as co-ordination, speed and agility.”
It’s clear that this new play area was designed to provide a less-stressful flight experience in addition to a less stressful airport experience for families. So if the lead up time to the flight is just as important, how does Birmingham Airport parking fare in this respect?
Ensuring a Better Birmingham Airport Parking Experience
Getting to the airport can be just as stressful as flying when relying on public transport, lifts or taxis and that’s not to mention the extra costs involved with all three of these options. But booking airport parking in advance can help ease stress before families even set foot inside the terminal, and in addition to this, a Birmingham Airport parking promo code available when using the Parking at Airports online booking facility can provide extra savings on the cost. Not having to worry about airport transport in the run up to a family holiday is worth its weight in gold, and if flying from Birmingham Airport in the future, booking parking facilities with a Birmingham Airport parking promo code can offer that extra peace of mind.
