UK Airports will soon allow passengers to bypass the passport queue for a small fee of £5. This news was reported by Telegraph as the new government scheme has already undergone criticism.
The controversial ideology has caused some disturbance as the Staff Union feel as though it’s a ‘gimmick’. This fast-track concept would enable travellers to skip the original passport queue to a privileged queue; the cost would be between £5 to £17.50 for each person.
The Concern
The surrounding dismay is well-placed as many opposing the scheme have made many valid points. Some believe that this new idea exposes how short-staffed airports are.
